Would be full of WIN if there was a provision for an external gas rig setup.

Hope more details come up soon.

It is not uncommon to shoot prototype parts with clear resin, especially if one wants to be able to check internal function and fit.

G&P and KJW manufactured clear receivers for their gbbr lines so they could import the products into Canada and other countries that have restrictions.

Many of the latest gbbr products are unavailable to them because the clear option doesnt exist for these new replicas.

I dont know the exact wording of their laws, but I know this is fact because some guys (currently of residence in Canada) on a forum dedicated to Gas powered replicas have made such comments.

All you have to do is change the resin color and run parts in that color. It isn't like they designed new tooling. The only reason they would need to do that is if a certain color couldn't be done in a particular resin type, such that a different resin would need to be used and thus had a different shrinkage rate, which causes slightly different tooling dimensions in order to get the finished part to be the same end-state design dimensions.

In other words, just replace the resin material in the hopper with the color you want and run parts until the original resin color has been cleared from the machine's barrel.

This is assuming plastic receivers of course. If their original receivers were cast metal, then they would have to go develop new plastic injection-molding tooling to get the clear receiver for Canada and the UK (I believe).

I kinda figured the clear was for R&D purposes. Also, the UK and now I guess Canada. We can't forget Wally World stores either.

Hmmm... I have a little big of knowledge in that area, but I guess this is something I'll be learning in Materials Processing. Not quite there yet. Maybe next semester. haha

Thanks for the info though, it's satisfying to know that the things we learn in class are practical and will stick years down the road. ME ftw!!!

Does anyone have any idea on the OEM?
