When it goes, it takes gears with it
|

I\'m not a big fan of aluminum pistons, because when a tooth breaks off, they tend to take gearsets with them. Furthermore, they seem more finicky in that the teeth don\'t give at all, so sometimes you get weird gear meshing. I\'ve fixed more than a few mechboxes in which the only problem seemed to be the piston teeth not meshing well with the sector gear teeth, whereas a polycarb piston would perfectly in that same mechbox.
