The \"True Product\" is a special stock with compartment for storage (typically batteries or small supplies). It is currently being used by SEALs and Delta Forces.
I can\'t say enough good things about this product. First, it is one of the more durable products out there. I\'ve dropped it. Stepped on it. Crawled on the ground dragging it and there isn\'t a scratch to show. It is definitely stronger and more durable than the factory spec stock.
Second, the space for the batteries is superb. You can throw a custom 3300mAh battery in there and it will last you all weekend. It\'s phenominal.
Third, it looks tough. It just screams - \"I am Billy Bad Ass\" - and let\'s all just admit that 75% of airsoft is just about doing just that. We want to look cool. Otherwise, we\'d play paintball and grab one of those space guns and some sweatpants.
Fourth, I am a big freaking guy and that regular stock is just small. It feels like a toy when I extend it. Suffice it to say, I\'m not a fan. The crane stock is heaftier and all around just bigger, which makes for a more comfortable fit. It also makes a superb cheek weld. You can rest your head on the upslope and it just feels right. My boy Luu tried it out, he\'s much smaller than I am. He held the same opinions as I did about the stock. The only difference is he would never spend the money to upgrade it, but he does like the feel and the look.
I\'m sure if I thought about it, I could come up with other pros, but obviously I like it and recommend it highly.
The negatives are few, but they do exist.
First, it is not an exact replica. The APEX stock is just a little too big. But, truth be told, you really can\'t tell the difference unless you are looking. There are stocks out there that are exact replicas, but they don\'t have the same battery storage.
Second is that it is expensive to buy and install. You\'ll have to switch your rifles set-up to allow a rear-battery. It is not impossible, but it isn\'t fun.
Third, the size of the batteries in this stock make it a bit on the heavy side. You can get smaller batteries, but why? Any which way, I would rather the weight balance in my gun to be rearward rather than in the barrel.
So, all in all, it is a great piece. (as are all the crane stock replicas) I would suggest this one due to the battery storage and because I do like the extra size.
Highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a replacement to their current stock.
