Sitffens up the receiver really well, added a nice weight to the center of the weapon

Required a bit of work to get the mechbox to fit properly.

Despite having to grind a bit of the interior of this receiver away a bit so the mechbox could seat properly I love this metal kit. The weapon doesn\'t squeek as bad as it used to, it added some realistic weight to the weapon overall. Now my AK feels hefty, real and solid.

I have two of these bodies, and they are an excellent addition to your AK variant. Very solid, thick wall cross-sections mean that this body will take a beating and doesn\'t have the weak points that the M4 metal bodies do.
One consistent flaw I\'ve found is that the hole for the selector switch generally is centered a bit low, so some grinding is needed to enlarge that hole. Not a huge deal, but is somewhat disappointing.
The other complaint is that the body is a dull gray color, while some others are more black.
Other than that, the body holds up well, adds nice weight to your replica, and is a good buy if you don\'t mind a little Dremel work. It is worth purchasing.
