Pros: Big wow factor for people
Cons: expensive

This is one of the coolest things that you can show people regarding airsoft. Tracer rounds really wow people...even people that have played airsoft for a while will be amazed when they see them for the first time. They really make night games a possibility by giving you an idea of where your bbs are going.

Pros: Fun factor at night; good quality
Cons: Expensive; stupid little box

Tracers are a blast at night. Yes, people can then see where you are shooting from, but the fun of tracers zipping around at night makes it worth it. Besides, if that is a concern, mix tracers in with regular BBs so you aren't shooting a continuous stream of tracers. This will also help defray the cost of these quite a bit.

The box these come in is annoying. A simple two piece thin plastic box which can open up at any time.

The BBs themselves are smooth, but are a bit on the small side in terms of diameter. Unfortunately, you are limited to .2g if you stick with TM BBs.

Recently, less expensive options have shown up in the tracer market, including .25g offerings by other companies.

While these are a quality product, I gave them a low rating because they are expensive for what they are, along with a lack of .25g option from TM available.
