My feeling on the this gun is one of "almost". It could be a stellar AEG out of the box, given all the metal features and extras. However, it is an AEG that takes additional money in order to function as well as many less expensive AEGs out of the box, which is disappointing.
The cosmetics are great. The finish and markings on the body look good. The front RIS fits well and mounts solid. The outer barrel is sturdy as well. There is plenty of room in the stock for battery storage, so much that a large 8.4v or 9.6v battery slides around. Very good-looking, good-feeling gun. The feel and look of this AEG surpass all other M16-based AEGs I've seen right out of the box.
The pistol grip is good in that it has metal threaded inserts.
And then you get to the internals, which are subpar. The parts that should seal do not perform that role well at all. Expect to replace the piston head, nozzle, and cylinder head, as there is major air leakage. Furthermore, the hopup bucking and hopup gears are subpar, resulting in highly inconsistent shots. The stock hopup is very touchy and tough to dial in. Thus, plan on replacing the stock hopup bucking and ideally the hopup gears also. Rate of fire out of the box is pretty good using the stock gears, stock motor, and an 8.4v battery pack.
