Description:

The Hakko TacPoint single ring configuration is a tactical reflex red dot sight, designed specifically for rapid target acquisition in close proximity. Shorter than its two-ring brother, this 4-3/4” scope is ideal for applications with limited mounting space. This robust aluminum alloy maintube design features precision windage and elevation adjustments, Nitrogen purging for absolute waterproof integrity, and a hard anodized no-glare matte finish. The 5-stage illuminated 4MOA reticle promises quick entrainment even in low light conditions. Comparable to the Aimpoint Comp ML2 at a fraction of the price, this tactical scope is hard to beat. Ships with 30mm Weaver-style mounting ring (also fits AR15 flat top), flip-up lens caps, & two batteries. This scope is covered by Hakko’s limited lifetime warranty.

It is much nicer than the Samurai I had briefly. It isn't as nice as the two real Aimpoints I have, but it is definitely adequate for Airsoft. The dot is clear, bright, and crisp. The dial clicks into the different settings well which is something that I haven't encountered on an Airsoft replica to date (the dials always feel mushy), but if you aren't careful, it can rotate in your gun case or something rather easily, leaving it on and draining the batteries. Check it before putting it away is a simple fix.
There is bright blue lettering on it, but that can be blackened out easily enough or removed with nail polish remover if you don't like the text. There is also a darker blue ring on the body of the sight that doesn't serve a purpose except to probably avoid being nailed legally as an Aimpoint copy. I don't know the legality of that, so just speculation on my part.
The rear lens cap fit on very tightly and the front one is very loose, but they do feel a bit cheap at the hinges when popped open.
Considering what some of the Aimpoint replicas cost, I'd rather go with this particular sight over those.
I've only used this sight in the field a couple times, and, in my opinion, the quality and function is better than that of Airsoft replicas I've encountered by far.
