High Quality Consttruction. Definitely worth the money, if only for the ease of cleaning and care.

This is my second airsoft gun, I had a TM AK-47 before but that was before I started going to skirmishes. I would highly recommend this gun to anyone that is starting out it's very reliable and hasn't let me down yet. The only complaint I have about this gun is that mine was most likely a little wacky out of the box the O-ring on my piston was to small causing the BB to float and my stock spring had already been worn down. If your stuck and can't decide wether or not to get a full stock or collapsable I would recommend going with the M15A4 not the tactical version, because sometimes the battery gets caught in the stock and it extremly hard to shake loose.

I don't perticularly have this exact gun, but the one I have is pretty much the same. Mine is all black and has a railed frame. WE Full Metal KB 1911 GBB w/ railed frame http://www.kapowwe.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=WE-1911-black&Category_Code=Airsoft_gas_blowbacks&Store_Code=R I have had the weapon for about 6 or 7 months now and it has held up nicely. I haven't had a problem with it yet. It has a great, real feel, and has a great kick. I've chronoed it and shoots right around 340-350fps depending on how cold it is outside. I got mine from Kapowwe when it was on sale. For $75, I got the pistol, 2 mags, and a case. Now, I think it goes for $99 for just the gun and mag. A great buy. I've had people want to buy it or get one like it.

First Impressions: I bought my AUG from Redwolf Airsoft a few years ago. (They had great service) The $310 price tag included an upgrade to 340 FPS, 9.6v battery/fuse removal, and a charger. That gun was amazing from the second I got it. I took it outside and shot it right away. First thing I did was coke can chrono; it went through all sides of the can. (This doesn't apply to stock AUG.) It was powerful, and I quickly attached my SWATFORCE red dot scope. In the Field: At my first skirmish with it, everyone wanted to see it. Some thought it was too modern looking, but no one thought it ugly. And when we actually started shooting, no other gun could face up to my AUG. Especially in CQB and medium length confrontations. However, at around 40 meters (120 ft.) the BBs would fan out in all directions, and I couldn't hit a thing. In fact, one person just stood there at that point, aimed his Super 9 at me, and I was down. I don't know why this happened, but I blame the hop-up. I adjusted it again and again, but it always did the same thing when shooting parallel to the ground. When I shot up, however, the hop-up worked like a dream. Another thing that the AUG has going for it is it's noise level. Because the motor is so close to your body, your chest/arms end up dampening the sound. I figured this out right away, and attached my friend's silencer. After 1 round of using this configuration, I was banned from using the silencer because no one could figure out where I was in shootouts Smile. Durability: That same day, after we were done skirmishing, I accidentally dropped my AUG. After this, the gun only fired on full auto. I took it down to my local airsoft shop (JungleToy) and the guy removed the part that gives you that transition between the Semi and Auto stages, and from then on the gun worked fine. But in the end, that showed the gun's strength. It is the only gun I've ever been able to drop 4 feet onto concrete, still have it work! At my next skirmish, I used my AUG to much avail. We were playing woodlands, so I was never on a level surface, and the hop-up worked admirably. That day, I was the MVP with most kills, captures, bomb sets, and defusals. (We played Counter-strike games.) That day the gun was working well in both long range combat and CQC, so everything about it was perfect. Special Features: The AUG has many little features that make it completely unique and awesome. On the inside of the mock ejection port lies the hop-up. The cool feature about this is that it can be accessed by either the left-handed or right-handed ejection port if you change the side that the rubber port-blocker is on. Just pull back the cocking handle and lock it into place, and there lies the hop-up slide adjuster. And if you keep the cocking handle locked back, push in the little takedown lock, hold the gun around the magazine release catch and by the front grip, then pull apart, voila! Your gun is taken down from cleaning and/or transport. Another nice feature of the AUG is the simplicity of changing out barrels for installing long LMG or sniper outer barrels, or for installing shortened carbine or SMG length barrels. This process involves pulling back the cocking handle and locking it, holding down the switch behind the vertical grip, then twisting and pulling out the barrel. This separates the receivers from the barrel and hop-up chamber. The final features of the AUG are the two stage trigger for fast and simple switching between full and semi-automatic fire, and the 3 position folding grip. The grip can technically fold to vertical, diagonal, and horizontal positions, but I recommend only using vertical and horizontal. (Vertical is usually preferred by most people.) Upgrade Potential: After a few skirmishes with my AUG, I decided that it was time to upgrade. I bought an M120 spring and opened up the box. This was a fatal mistake. For some reason, the piston was back, and when I opened it up, the spring shot out, snapping the guide and scattering parts everywhere. I went out and bought a spring guide, but neglected to notice it was a version 3 box, not version 2. (I bought a v. 2 guide.) Then I abandoned the gun, because I couldn't figure out how to get the box back together. The special trigger made it especially hard, I think. Not to mention that the gearbox is removed out the back, and I thought it would come out by opening up the entire shell. So I basically ruined my AUG... Too bad... Overall: But while my AUG lasted, it was the best gun I've ever owned or seen in my life. However, it's difficulty of upgrading, slightly odd gearbox, and bad hop-up definitely bring down it's score. If you are smart, however, you can upgrade the gearbox with minimal modifications to the gun's shell, and minimal brute force effort. Just make sure you know what you're doing, and realize the difference between the AUG's cylinder head from other guns', and notice the difference between it's trigger and the trigger of other weapons. (Both inside and outside of the gearbox.) And the lack of a selector switch. That one threw me way off! All in all, this gun is the best airsoft money can buy IF you upgrade it's hop-up chamber. It's use as a CQB gun and woodlands/urban environment gun is invaluable, and no other gun can compete with the AUG's ergonomics, unique look, and versatility. Pro: - Great balance and ergonomics make the gun feel like an extension of your body - Two-stage trigger makes for simple switching from quick, accurate semi-auto shots to all out full-auto fire. - Takedown is simple and easy. - Good power and accuracy due to bullpup design, long barrel. Con: - Hop-up mechanism needs work. - Very heavy for the length. - Parts are expensive and hard to find. (I will put pictures in later.)

This gun isn't all that bad. In fact, it's great. The only main parts that are plastic are the grip panels, which is of no concern, for they are almost the exact same brown plastic grip panels that the GI's used in WWII-Vietnam. The accuracy is very, very good. I've consistantly shot 3 magazines full of bb's, and have had all the bb's go through a hole in the target about the size of a silver dollar. If your going for the WWII thru 'Nam look, this gun is a must have.

I haven't fielded it yet, but, I put one mag through it, and that was enough to give me a great impression. I shot at a 1'x1' target in the dark from twenty feet, and hit it almost every time. It acted very much like a 1911. It kicked, and it was rather loud. Also, it was extremely accurate, just shooting from the hip ( I haven't even adjusted the hop-up yet) and it also seemed to be shooting in the 300's. Needless to say, if you are a 1911 fan/lover/addict, this gun is an excellent, efficient, and well-rounded skirmisher. Not to mention it's entirely metal! You can't go wrong here! UPDATE: It's a bit late, but anyway, this model only lasted me about twenty mags worth before the consumption reached a tremendous level of about 3-6 shots on a full charge of GG. That and the pot metal barrel bushing has cracked, making the gun entirely useless. Granted, replacing the barrel bushing with a RS will fix that problem. As for consumption, replace the mag valves with TM ones. Also, be sure to check arniesairsoft.com for other things that need replacing. In summation, buy a TM; although it is plastic, it's far superior.
