More blowback on the way

If you are into the KAC PDW, check out this and this.

Perhaps you like some AEG blowback action? Check out the PPsh here.

Thanks for sharing those links. I am ecstatic for the new Ares PPSH-1, and if GBB was my thing, I would definitely pick up one of those beasts of gas guns.

ooooh! Looks tasty. Now another option to consider....

DontFearDaReaper 01-21-2010 07:23 AM

Any idea how much the EBB version goes for??

I hope that the ARES PPSH doesn't have a mechanical blow-back. I've heard bad things about those, never seen anything go wrong in person though. It still looks like an awesome gun. :D

You're right: blowback is the next big thing

From what I've seen of the latest releases from Cyma and JG (et al), blowback is being added to a number of AEGs retailing above around $200. IMO, it will soon be virtually required for guns in that price range.
I've tried blowback, and even tho it lowers fps a bit (the energy for moving more parts has to come from somewhere), I think it's well worth it. If, that is, you're into realism more than pure power.
We are fortunate to be seeing the maturization of a technology right before our eyes. It's exciting! And expensive: I bet our fathers could have held on to their Red Ryder lever gun for years without it going "obsolete". :-)

Airsoft guns are not really going obsolete. Plastic TM M4's from 8 years ago will still run just as good as current weapons. Airsoft also isn't really expensive. You should have been here 8 years ago when you HAD to order overseas and m4's had plastic exterior and mostly plastic interior parts. With a wonderful 400$+ price tag without worldwide shipping and customs. Be happy with the currently created 200$ guns.

Although I'm an M-14 fan, I'm loving the PPSH from Ares.
