Any reason you went with this over something else? I'm curious about the carrier and what sets this one apart. I've run my Callahan for years in both airsoft and training and it's held up while I've pulled the straps off Blackhawk carriers dragging loaded-up people behind cars.

I recently picked up a 'newsed' Eagle PC (same as a Ciras, but without the quick disco feature) and am curious what kind of difference the plate/BALCS/cummerbund combo is going to make in ride (active/passive) and comfort.

Ohhhh... So thats the FAPC-2. I hadn't seen that listed on their website when I ordered my FAPC gen 1.

Looks good.

I tried on this rig as well as my own Eagle Plate Carrier with Cummerbund. This rig seems to be less "abusive" when donning it, with a bit more padding especially around the shoulder straps. It does ride a bit higher but it covers the vital areas well. I will most likely be replacing my Eagle PC with this rig.

Proper adjustment for a plate carrier should hold the top of the plate at the sternal notch.

Just tried it on again, fits perfectly with the proper adjustment. I also noticed quite a bit more padding, so it's pretty comfy.

What drew me too this PC were the number of reviews I read from guys using it in other hot climates. I really like how well padded it is, as Bear has mentioned, as well as how comfortable the cumberbund system makes it.
