Village made watchband - Wrist fasteners - Lonestar Airsoft Gallery

Here the watchband has been fitted to my wrist. It utilizes two fasteners. First, it is velcroed in place as most other watchbands of this type. Second, a curve backed ITW Nexus Fastex buckle is in place as a secondary retainer to prevent accidental loss while in the field.

The Fastex buckle is attached using light-gauge shock cord. There is still quite a significant amount of slack in the cord in this image. It has not begun to stretch at all, allowing users with larger wrists to wear it. There is also approximately 1 to 1.5 inches of velcro fastener accessible for larger folks.

Finally, in this design, the hook side fastener faces away from the wearer's wrist. My biggest complaint with so many other watch bands - that hook velcro can really become uncomfortable as an event progresses.

Custom made watchband to accommodate my Timex Compass Maratac ACQ. The design was based on Eagle Industries' watchband. Because the Maratac ACQ's bracelet pins cannot be removed it was necessary to create a design which would allow me to weave a retaining strap through the bracelet pins.
