HammerHead Legendary Covie Slayer Registered: August 2003 Location: San Antonio, TX Posts: 1,826	AustinWolv passed along a nice classified ad, last week, for a MagPul CTR stock in dark earth color. I was fortunate enough to be able to make the purchase and received it over the weekend of 3/31. Installation was slightly more difficult than easy. However, this is due to the features which make the stock solid on the buffer tube. The stock can be installed without special tools or parts, replacing an existing M4 stock in a few short steps: 1. Remove your old collapsing stock by pulling the retention pin all the way down and sliding the stock off the buffer tube. 2. Slide the MagPul stock into place and actuate the primary lever (the upper one). This will release the secondary lever and drive the locking pin down 90% of the way. 3. Place the muzzle of your M4 on the ground (gently of course) and grasp the locking pin on either side of the stock. Pull it as far down as it will go (this is not easy and is the hardest part of the installation). When the pin is fully released, the stock will slide into place using gravity. Let go of the locking pin and you're done. The secondary lever actually drives a secondary tube into place around the locking pin. This fills the gap between the locking pin and buffer tube to improve friction and reduce lateral movement of the stock.
