NIce! I love the G&P RAS II. I also really dig the scout (forward) mounted Aimpoint. Does the Noveske not require a barrel ring? IMO, you should also get one of the new version H&K M416 stocks. If not, then maybe a crane stock?
I, like you am awaiting a replica of the H&K 417.

The G&P RAS II is impressive. It's pretty darn modular and looks very nice when assembled. However, I'm not very pleased with how it attaches to a stock TM barrel nut and delta ring (hence, the zip tie). I'm going to order a replacement barrel nut/delta ring set to see if I can't get the kit to fit a bit better, before I result to Dremelling.
I'm not at all pleased with the Aimpoint. I tried a number of different locations for it and couldn't reconcile the dot at all (that probably has less to do with the optic and more to do with my poor eyesight). That cantilever mount is entirely too high for this configuration, such an optic needs to be mounted lower on this rail system. I'll likely try a lower mount, before moving the Aimpoint back to my LR300 or G3. In either case, the Aimpoint added weight and bulk I didn't care for.
The Noveske can be attached without a barrel ring. Unfortunately, with mine, the flaming pig doesn't line up nicely with the rifle. For the short term, I've used a rubber o-ring to achieve enough resistance to keep the flashhider on, while lining the pig up nicely. Barrel rings and shims are hard to come by. I think I'll have to order a flashhider that comes with them in order to resolve this to my satisfaction.
A replacement stock is the last item on my list for this replica. I've been leaning, heavily, toward a G&G SOPMOD stock, though I also like the new MagPul stock as well. Crane stock is out, just don't care for the appearance. Regardless, it will be a little while before I replace the stock.
I'll be more than pleased if a 417 prototype replica is released, seeing as I already have plenty of magazines for it!

In lieu of the cantilever, the L mount should allow you to affix the Aimpoint to correctly co-witness with the front sight tower. I have a personal preference for the regular Aimpoint low mount ring ($20 at GT Dist), I have a tendency to shoulder a rifle quite high and bury my face in the stock. Maybe the K lenght G36 stock is too long for me after all?

That's what I was thinking about for the Aimpoint. I have a very inexpensive, difficult to mount, low mount (I was too lazy to mess with it yesterday). I'm going to give that a try to see if it will be easier to view and cowitness, before investing in a better L-Mount.
