I sure do, i have been trying to find those resin kits for the better part of 3 years now. seems the whole world is out of stock. I have my compact exploder pistol on its way but would love even more to have one or two of these kits. where might i ask, did you get yours?

I see you put alot of work into yours but if you were wiling to part with it for a handsome price please let me know.

I was lucky in that this was placed on eBay by someone in NJ about the time I started seriously looking for one. He had it all built up when he ordered it from WGC, so I managed to snag it with it already built with a FAMAS. The only thing that was missing obviously was the paint job. Based on my rudimentary research, they don't make the resin kits anymore, that's why there's such a limited supply (and possibly instant promotion to Collectors item).

At the moment I'm not too keen on selling it. Its my first AEG and well. . . there's some sentimental value I've attached to it. Despite the ribbings I've gotten for trying to deploy with this as my primary weapon, I'm holding on to this in case we ever do get a decent CQB field to skirmish in.

And yeah, I'm keeping an eye out for a Xploder too. Not deployable either, but its aesthetically pleasing.

http://www.endoshoji.com/page013.html

just ordered one the other day. extremely nice email support. we shall see if all goes well.

Sorry to hear about the mn23.. lucky you found one, but sorry u arent selling =[ I wanted to get a hold of one to get white-light scanned and prototyped. Now normally i am against this sort of thing but since poseidon all but disappeared off of the face of the planet, i dont much care, i just want one. It looks like i have to design one in CAD and send it off to be machined. hard to do without blueprints or one to look at. =[

All in all nice gun man. Oh any BTW i heard the xploder uses the old style ppk/s from maruzen not the new ones, but since i have no way of telling new from old, i will just have to mess with it until it works. just a heads up.

Since you have one didnt know if you knew its potential:

He fixes up a few problems with it, adds a silencer, tac light, etc.

ah well thanks man.

oh if it isnt a massive ammount of trouble could you take a ton of pics of it highest res possible, and with good lighting for me? i would appreciate it highly. thanks

One step ahead of you there. One of my clients has his own CNC mill along with white-light scanner. I asked if it was possible and he came back with a negative. . . too many curves in the structure. However, after I clear off some more things on my plate I might be tempted to start a CAD of it myself. And then we can start deploying massive amounts of MN-23 to the chargrin of my fellow airsofters.

And yes, I have seen Blue's getup of the MN-23. I've followed some of the things he did, and in fact am working on the front sling mount right now. However, his cutting of the front foregrip is much more risque than I want. . . but if we were able to get this thing CADed and start reproducing it in reasonable quantities and quality. . . *evil grin*. . .

yea the foregrip looked tacky anyways.

I found someone who is still selling the kits, im buying two i think. one for airsoft model, one to mod my tippmann a-5 to fit after i re-enforce it =] well after i get it scanned of course. All in all i think its a piece of art that needs to be made available.

Your friend might be mistaken at first glance. the original one that blue has looks like its milled aluminum if you look at his "fixng the frame" section you can see it before paint. i dont know if just that section by the rear, the triangle, if its metal but on his it is i think. in either case, i think it could be done in 4-5 parts. still worth a shot IMO. if you think he meant negative on scanning it i understand that much. you could scan it, and fix it yourself, its easier to cad something when you have a base.

The way i look at the legalities of it, tokyo marui and other foreign companies have been ripping off others for years [H&K, Colt, etc] so they obviously don't care, why should we? Once again if poseidon broadened their horizons and gave a damn i wouldn't pursue this route.

I think it would be neat to get a hold of the first mn23,. the cMN-23 they had on their site. it used the mini m4 it looked like. it was obviously probably pretty small. would be a neat model.

btw this is the image to which i was referring to

http://www41.tok2.com/home/bluegale/...andle_grip.jpg

i may not know alot personally about these kits though. is that metal on all of them?

in either case, if its aluminum it can be milled. the rest is pretty simple for a rapid prototyper perhaps moreso than cnc.

in other news if anyone cares.. i think i just bought the last two kits that were for sale comercially in the world. =]

im not evil or else in six months i would list one on ebay for like 1500 bux.

No metal at all in the chassis (well. . . the only metallic parts are the screws). Its all resin/plastics, so drilling is not exactly encouraged. In fact, I'm reluctant to dremel the front end to fit the forward sling mount solely because I'm afraid of screwing it up.

i didnt think it was metal but in that picture it looks like metal. you can even see the shinyness is far greater than plastic looks like it could be... really bad coincidence i guess lol it could be grey plastic or really high exposure or something i dunno.

dremeling plastic is ok as long as you use low rpm's and move slow. i use the sander bits as they work better than anything, but you run the risk of getting melted plastic stuck to them if u go too fast.

as for being afraid of messing up, heh thats why i got two.

Its all nice and shiney and metal-like because of the wonderful paint job I did (and subsequently screwed up on). . .

IIRC. . . Poseidon recommended the use of a special metallic paint for the exterior. I was not able to find anything of that type, so ultimately settled for the standard Krylon paint. However, if I do find out how to get some of that in the future, repainting this would have top priority on my to do list.

wow ok.. the only paint i know of for that sort of a thing is that fake chrome paint lol. a shiny chrome mn23 would enhance its comical appearance to some im sure.

My father paints cars for a living and i will ask him if he knows what this is. ill shoot ya a brand name as soon as i figure it out. but from my experience all the metallic paints were metallic flake and extremely gaudy.

well i got my FAMAS yesterday.. and i tore it apart. there are a billion things im not gonna remember how to put back, do you know of any handy re-assembly guides somewhere? =] the mn23 needed to be cut a bit where the sides of the famas shell fit in, it was too tight. but its all good now. did you glue it all together or did you make it so you can tear it all apart still? thanks.
