Errr... what's up with your Wasatch's shoulder pads? They seem sorta... low hee hee.

What kind of battery do you have in your gun and where is it?

Aha yes I just noticed that. It's not me in the picture by the way, I'm behind the camera. The wasatch also drags low on me too, I've got nothing on the back of it and the front is weighed down so goddamn much, thinking about a hydration pouch for something. As for the battery and my gun? I currently dont have one. Heh, spent to much money on the EOTech and Surefire. Anyways when I get 'round to it, I'm getting a PEQ2 on the top rail.

Make some replica plates for the carrier. I got some hard cardboard and stuck two 'plates' into each of the plate pouches. Stiffens the 'satch and it rides a lot better, also makes it easier to get mags in and out.

Try shortening the length of the shoulder straps. I'm considering reigning mine in just a little more, see how low it sits:

I think I want to bring the bib up about another inch. You'll still be affected by the weight, a bit, but it can't slide down that low if it doesn't have the slack available in the shoulder straps to slide down on.

psychotic, those plates sound like a good idea, I was browsing around the local AEX and saw what looked like replica plates with some junk written on it "Medium Strike Face" and I was considering buying em, might just do the cardboard dealy instead.
Hammerhead - I dont want to chop up my shoulder straps just yet.. we'll see how this cardboard dealy works, I was considering buying some replica body armor and just wearing it underneath the Wasatch. If all else fails, I'll probabaly just chop the shoulder straps up

I don't know if you know about this little procedure for the 'satch, but you could remove one of the straps in the back of the 'satch for cinch it down for your size. Before I did that for my 'satch, it fit pretty loose. Now, it fits perfectly with the single strap configuration. Here is a picture to help illustrate what I mean- http://www.skdtac.com/images/misc/wabackstrap.jpg

I'm not referring to cutting them. I'm referring to drawing more of the strap through the ladder locks behind the shoulder. After that, just bind up the extra with turbo tape or a zip tie. I shortened mine to be only the length of the shoulder pads (the bib butts up against the lower edge of the pads). I don't care to cut the extra straps, either, so I roll it up, then zip tie it to the strap which runs vertically down the back.

Thanks for all the information guys, I wish I had my wasatch on hand right now so I could try these things your telling me about.
Hammerhead - If you've got the bib touching the lower edge of the pads, wouldnt it ride extremely high then? I'm picturing the Wasatch in my picture (bottom of the pads touching the bib) but actually higher up, on the shoulders. Is this how you have yours configured?
I haven't put any tape on my gear yet in fear that I'll do it wrong and have to take it off... Probabaly why my gear is so loose. Anyways ill have to tape all my stuff up soon, when I run i've got straps flying all over the place.
