View Full Version : male/female "motor lead" connectors?

Does anyone happen to know where I can obtain the electrical connectors, both male and female, that attach to the AEG motor? I know Prometheus sells a set of motor leads, but as of recently, stock of Prometheus parts from both stateside and overseas retailers is nil. To my knowledge, they are the ONLY company that produce this particular electrical connector specifically for airsoft use.

If someone knows the proper term for this connector and/or happens to know where a small-time repair guy like me can obtain some, please let me (and the community at-large) know. Surely some manufacturer out there makes/sells them. I just haven't found it yet.

Do you mean these?

(These may work with some modification perhaps.)

Do you mean these, SHak? I'm not sure the right size but I think they are closer to 1/8" than 3/16".

McMaster has most of it, male and female

Motor Connectors, Double Crimp
Part 69525K87
Part 69525K84

Right-Angle Motor Connectors
Part 7769K31
Part 7769K33

Just look through those pages, McMaster shipping is cheap and fast.

Actually, I would advise getting the .110" x .020" tab size, like 69525K56, from Mcmaster. They fit perfectly on AEG motors. They also bend nicely and aren't going to break nearly as easily as the ones that come with AEGs.
Shak, I already have a package of those from Mcmaster if you just need a couple.

Not as cheap as Mcmaster, but Terry also has some: http://extreme-fire.com/otherstuff.html

Ah yes. Good 'ole McMaster comes through again! I'll have to get a set of calipers on one of the connectors I have left to verify the tab width.

Wolv, the part number you specified lists the female, but not the male counterpart. To make M4-type wiring harnesses, I'll need both (or some alternative that fits through that opening to the handguard space.)

Thanks to all who responded!

For AEG motors, you are good to go. I tried the ones I have on TM, CA, and Systema motors. They are the right size, although they do fit pretty tight on the CA. No worry about them slipping off like regular AEG connectors.

For M4-harness stuff, look at 'snap plug terminals' on McMaster. I don't have a M4 torn down currently to measure if the .156" would fit the barrel nut/receiver slot however. If those are too big, 'bullet' connectors are the search term I would use. Those are what I've seen frequently used at that junction.
