Out of the blue, my UTG M324 doesn't stay cocked when you are sliding the bolt back to the closed position, as if someone was holding down the trigger (in a sense). I took it apart all the way with the trigger mechanism off of the bolt and pistol and everything looks alright. I can't figure it out, can anyone give me a direction to look into, I would really appreciate it since I might go out and play today.

The symptom sounds like the sear wore down. There are some posts about that happening in the forum somewhere.

okay, I've looked further into that, and it seems that my gun is having symptoms of a worn sear. I look at the sear and it doesn't seem "worn" down or anything like that. If it were indeed a worn sear, would that part need to be replaced, or is there some kind of manual modification that I could do to skip around getting a new part altogether. Furthermore, since it seems the sear isn't "worn down"(to me at least), what may be the problem then?

Yes, the sear would need to be replaced if that is the case. I don't know the status of getting one for your gun, but I know reinforced ones are made for brand-name guns.

ah, okay. thanks for the help Wolv. Looks like I'm going to have to wait to get the Edgi upgrade kit which has a reinforced sear in it. Bummer though, I'm gonna have to wait a few weeks, but I know it's going to be worth it when the time comes.
