Since my upper legs are as big as some people's waists, running thigh rigs and subloads has always been an adventure for me. Also, I tend to wear subloads as high up on my leg as I can get them (in my opinion the way they SHOULD be run). The Safariland 6004 is, generally speaking, my go-to holster platform but since I run it so high the shroud never quite fit right.

So I'm browsing around and I see a couple of do-it-yourself type mods from individuals who seem to feel the same way.

The mod consisted of removing the upper strap and corners of the holster shroud.

The modded holster now fits much better on my tree-trunk like legs.

Questions are welcome.
