For the past few months I've been looking for a light LBE-type setup. I determined that a suspender and belt configuration could probably serve me best. With the prominence of modular belt systems in developing second-line rigs and the fact that nearly all of my pouches are MOLLE, I decided a MOLLE belt was the way to go. This is where the Original S.O.E. modular belt comes in.

As you can see, the belt is actually made of two parts: the inner belt (in this case a BPG rigger's belt although nearly any belt can be used) and the outer belt sleeve.

The inside of the sleeve is lined with velcro so the belt stays secure. There are also cutouts on the underside of the sleeve on each side for the attachment of subloads directly to the belt so that it isn't neccessary to take up MOLLE webbing.

There are also rings on the back and front of the sleeve so that suspenders can be attached without taking up MOLLE webbing.

The setup is a pretty comfortable one, with plenty of webbing for the mounting of pouches. The cutouts for the subloads really come in handy as do the suspender attachments.

Questions are more than welcome.

Nice War belt. I'm in the market for one and I have seen a simpler version on Kastway.
I'm interested to find out how the war belt behaves under stress of running in the field or crawling through the grass. Are the sleeve cutouts positioned correctly for your subloads and does it feel stable? I am a smaller build so I have a concern of these cut outs positioned in the wrong spot and my drop leg strap attaching too far forward. Does the war belt feel secure enough for you when you have a full complement of mags, pistol and start moving around? Can you give a follow-up once you have used this in the field?

John sells the belts in different sizes so I think the cutouts would be positioned for that particular frame. Wearing the rig around the house it feels good and solid with a full load.

I'll provide an update once I've had a chance to run this thing in the field.
