Recently my Matrix VSR-10 (which cost me all but 59.95) decided that it would no longer work.
That is why i am requesting some collaboration on my next purchase.
I do not have much money but i am willing to spend about $150 at the most.I was thinking that i would purchase another matrix VSR-10 and buy the spring upgrade along with it (which would cost me, with extra mags of course, around $100-120).

Is this choice wise?

Well, considering that your first VSR10 went and died on you, buying another one with a stiffer spring doesn't seem exceptionally wise to me.

You'd be better off saving up more money and buying something that'll last.

Are you set on a bolt-action rifle or are you open to other types of replicas?

On HA, there's a line that reads "Buy cheap, buy twice." I had kinda figured that people would learn their lesson, and not buy cheap the second time. So what are your plans when this $60 toy breaks?

Check into the JG line. While I'm not a fan of the knockoffs, others seem to have good luck with them. YMMV.

JG actually produces a VSR-10 now. I have no first hand experience, but I have heard good things about them they are supposed to shoot pretty good out of the box and will take TM VSR upgrades. I know that they retail for 150 or so. You may want to look into them.

Yeah, JG's BAR-10 is supposed to be very good. While it only starts out as 360 fps, it can be easily upgraded to 500 without buying anything. Supposedly it's pretty good, and I was looking into buying one myself. It costs around $100-$140, depending on where you look.
And DON'T buy the cheap one again...

I have seen the TSD m700 , it seems to be a better version of the VSR-10 with a bit more power its about $80.

Would the VSR-10 upgrade work with this gun? Because the bolt appears to be the same to me (identical cocking handle) if so this would probably close the deal for me.

DarthRobby has a JG BAR-10, and it's pretty good. Look into that one. I think he said it cost him about $120 and it came with a pretty good scope and bipod.

Yes, the sniper rifle itself is great, but the scope isn't, the one I liked was Mitch's (poster above me) scope, and the bipod didn't fit! I ended up selling it! I didnt get it from Airsoft GI, though I hear they sell good ones, I forgot who I got it from.

I have a very large scope that cost me $50 on airsplat. It is really good, and illuminated. However it is very heavy for a scope. It's made by leapers if you want to take a look at it sometime. Also, I didn't notice that your bipod broke, Robby. Or didn't fit.

It didn't fit, I never used one, Tyler did, but yes, that scope is well worth it if you put it on a sniper rifle in my opinion!

Sniper rifle, not sniper.
