What is your dream setup?
I have always thought the gear from Metal Gear is cool.
Personally, I would love the new Metal Gear Solid 4 Praying Mantis PMC setup:
PMC 1 (http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2006/263/926596_20060923_screen011.jpg)
PMC 2 (http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2006/234/926596_20060823_screen003.jpg)
PMC 3 (http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2006/263/926596_20060923_screen014.jpg)
PMC 4 (http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2006/263/926596_20060923_screen010.jpg)
Pay no attention to the guy who is sneaking around.
I would also love a set of some of these:

A piece of advice: emulating a loadout is fine, but don't be surprised if it's not quite what you expected. I worked for years to find the perfect pieces of kit that do what I need and arrange them in the proper setup. Just remember to keep an open mind when it comes to your gear loadout.

I would like an Operator Plate carrier with molle pouches for 6 total m4 mags, 2 pistol mags, admin pouch, emt pouch ( i actually do carry a first aid kit, since i am first reponder trained/certified)
I have everything but the plate carrier. But, what i figure is this, MOLLE offers so many opportunities to create the ideal load out for any situation/scenario/role, why stop at one particular loadout, ya know?

As others have said everyone has a diffrent load out. Such as the metalgear solid images and his 4 mag pouches behind his head and pouches all over his back. Did you also notice he has NO WATER. If you cant keep hydrated you loose mission effectiveness.
But chainsaw I would try on other peoples gear and see what you like, and would stick to the MOLLE system.
Find what you like, then build it. I think with the community at smaller games and the diffrent style of gear you can see almost everything that is available, you can even get to the detail of if you like your mag pouches with elastic bands in the middle to tighten the mags together or not. Spend your time to research what you want, I know being younger 200$ + for a kit that works perfectly for you is alot of money.
Also remember gear will not make you a better player, it just gives it a slight boost. I have played with just mags in my ACU pockets and have killed people. It wasn't fun, but its possible.
If you want we can talk about gear 1 on 1 on sunday.

Chainsaw-
Remember that all yo need are the basics: ammo, batteries, water. I'm sure if you really want a plate carrier set up like that you can find something at a decent price on one of the airsoft company pages. It will work for airsoft as a starter, otherwise try to find some surplus MOLLE gear at a cheap price.

I will always be trying to find that perfect balance of form and function in a Ghost Recon/Future Force Warrior loadout.
Of couse, it'll cost me an arm and a leg to do, but I'm not terribly worried about perfecting it at the moment.

If you watch the bay from time to time you will see some great lots of stuff. Typically its guys that just got out of the service and want to just offload alot of stuff they won't be needing any longer. Buying used gear can be advantageous. You might luck out on a good lot that has way more than you will ever need but the beauty of that is you will have options to possibly experiment with, items useful in trading towards gear that meets your needs and possibly to loan out to friends etc.....
There is nothing wrong with buying new gear either but if your smart you can really make your dollar go far in good used gear. In my experiences in playing scenario paintball and airsoft contract grade gear is typically far more forgiving on wear and tear than the so called paintball/airsoft stuff usually. Theres also some very good airsoft marketed gear out there though so do your homework and I'm sure you will find a loadout thats effective.
Good luck, part of the fun is defining your own style that works for you.

I think It would be fun to have the assault rifle from F.E.A.R. And a m82 barretta replica that shoots fin-stabilized nerf rounds so I can engage people at long distances :).
Seriously, I think im gonna make something like that now......
All I want is something simple yet effective. I'm currently going for a bandolier type setup for my soon to be owned AK74u. I don't like feeling constricted whenever I play, and there's nothing constricting about an over-the-shoulder bag.
amirite?
In that case, take a look into the Blackhawk S.T.R.I.K.E. Bandolier: http://www.blackhawk.com/product1.asp?P=37CL81
Actually, that's what I'm trying to avoid. I really hate crap on my chest and I would prefer it to the side. I was thinkin something more like this (http://www.eagleindustries.com/prd_detail.asp?ProdID=132&CatID=94&SubCatID=94)
But without the 9mm pouches and I would want a dump pouch behind the mag pouches. I've messaged village to see if he could construct me something like that.
You don't HAVE to sling it near your chest....in fact, loaded down it would most likely sag down to the waistline anyways.

The clip on the upper right shoulder looks strategically placed to rub the hell out of you.
Ah, I found something exactly like what I want! I just don't know if it fits ak mags.

Just a thought, you might look at a drop-leg MOLLE panel, maybe modified, so that you can configure your load-out with the desired mag/pouch configuration. This would work better long term when you start toting spare batteries, bb's, etc...
It would also scale up well in the event you changed your mind down the line and went with a more conventional lbv rig.
Something like maybe this. (http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/MOLLE601-45509-1976.html)
I already have a drop leg rig and an LBV. I bought a TT Mav but I learned to not like it. THings on my chest just annoy me and make me feel cluttered.

Hye Buck, check http://www.specopsbrand.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductID=61# out as well. Saw these at a gunshow the past weekend and look pretty snazzy.
