Should I use a tactical vest when I am using my sniper rifle? I'm worried that if I am on my stomach while sniping, I might damage some of my equipment stored in the vest. I want something that would be able to store plenty of equipment and that would keep the equipment safe when I am on my stomach. I was thinking of a waistpack, but I want to know what would be recommended. So if anyone has any suggestions or tips, please let me know. I would appreciate it.

You're not really going to want a tac-vest as all the stuff on your stomach will make it uncomfortable to crawl. One option is the old military issue ALICE web gear. You can position the mag pouches to the sides and leave your entire stomach and chest area free to crawl low to the ground. ALICE gear isn't the prettiest, but it's very functional and gets the job done.

I never thought of that. That's a pretty good idea. Thanks.

It really depends on your style.

If you plan to stalk a lot...vests are fine. (such as on smaller skirmish fields)

If you plan to create a hide and lay in waiting most of the day, yeah...clear your chest and all crawl points. (Hunter's...OP:NS...et all)

I found the UTG web system tactical vest, along with the separate pouches for ammo, radio, etc. I think it is just what I have been looking for.

I like using chest rigs myself. You can wear it real high on your chest so that you aren't laying on it when you are high crawling or in the prone. It also depends on how much stuff you want to carry.

You can always just buy some acu's and use all 12+ pockets ;)

To be honest, the gear is not for me. I am looking up gear for my character to use in my book. Your ideas really helped.
The book is a fictional novel about an airsoft war. If anyone wants more info on it, I can PM you and tell you more about the story.
However, I still might buy the gear anyways...

And from the sneek peek I got, it sounds like a good book!
I'll buy it! :)

So fiction about fiction? Good luck getting that published.

Oh yeah, well...

eh, screw it. I'm too lazy.

"Oh yeah, well they published <insert book name here>. If they published that, they'll publish anything."

etc. etc.
