Ok, I give, what's the difference?

Dentrinity has.

AK 1k Drum magazine "kits" and AK 1k Drum magazines.

Besides a $50. price difference does anyone know what the deal is?

If it's the full up drum in pieces then I'd rather buy the kit, assemble it here and save me $50 per.

I saw some offered on a UK site:

1. Kit - all parts required to assemble the drum magazine with the exception of one hi-cap magazine, which is required to spool and feed the BBs to the gun.

2. Preassembled - ready made, with the hi-cap mag included.

Dunno how much AK hi-caps cost. But I'd guess around the $50 mark. If they are, then the assembled drum is the better buy, I think.

It looks like it's similar to what TrapperIndustries does where the kit just modifies a regular AK hi-cap. I think they (TI) do a little more permanent work on the original mag, where this 'looks' to be less permanent. TIs holds 1300 though where the Top one only holds 1000.

Just FYI, you could save youself the $50 by ordering the kit and mag separately. I know Maryland Airsoft sells AK hicaps for $30. If I'm presuming or missing something, please fell free too correct me.

Well I don't know if its any cheaper but I just have 2 hi-cap mags for my Ak. I hold them in a double mag clip and get 1200 rounds.
