View Full Version : Custom Gun Looking For Advice

Well, I am currently working on an Austrailian Owen SMG. I am looking for anyone who has blueprints for the gun.
I already have the internals. I just need some advice on what Magazine I should use and what wood I should make the stock and handgrips out of.
By the way, I am using Toy Tec Full Auto Unit as internals.

Which version of the Owen?
Did you consider buying parts?
With enough patience, you may come across a parts kit.
Blueprint source possibly?
It looks like you would use Thompson or Uzi mags if you weren't building your own.

"Their", not "there" is the correct word you are looking for, as well as "can't", not "cant".
"Cant" means something else entirely: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/cant

The first two guns on the world guns ru page are both prototypes. The owen is an australian design, not a copy of the sten like the AUSTEN was.If you were going to use aeg mags my vote would be for the long uzi mags.Though I don't know how well they will feed upside down. You might just have to re-work some real steel sten mags for it.It would be a really different weapon though that no one else would have.

If you are planning on it being a gas gun, maybe the Mac-11 magazines? They look similiar to the magazines in the pictures

A UMP mag would work great too. Its about the same style.

Don't waste your reply. Godly talks of many replicas on this site and others, but nothing ever materializes.

I'll remember to take his custom gun talk with a grain of salt. :)
