Show up at noon; skirmishing starts at 1pm.

Feel free to suggest and lead scenarios.

I'll try to be there, but I probably won't have anything to bring other than goggles since I'm new and I have no budget.

Perhaps my civilian-like status could be worked into a scenerio.

Ted, please review the forum rules, particularly Number 18. Proper grammer and spelling are required on these forums.

And yes, most tend to show up at noon and skirmishing commences around 1300.

I woldn't mind playing on the east side, lots of shade, nice natural cover.

Hunter, 2-3pm is typically hotter than noon-1pm. Late start would not really help. Early starts would.

And yes, I should be there.

Depending on how they schedule me (I just got hired by Harte Henks today to do Tech Support for Samsung) I'll be there if I am free.

What is the little town/area called out there? I'm a relatively new driver and I wanted to mapquest a map out there to make sure I know which way I'm going. Last time I went my mom was nice enough to drop me by but I have my car and stuff now so I'll be driving.

From the main Flash menu on LSA, select Airsoft > Austin Airsoft, then pick Hunters Airsoft from the submenu. Driving directions as well as a link to a MapQuest map are on this page.

Please review the site rules, particularly #18.

There is a separate forum, for new community members. Within that forum you will find plenty of useful information regarding various AEGs and gear. In particular, you may find Jay's purchase primer, below, very useful when getting started:

Yesterday's match was a great time. Fantastic turnout for such hot weather.

Village

Yep, I was encouraged by the turnout, especially from the older "regulars". Whiskey/FOG vs everyone else was a balanced team division and a lot of fun! I think the final player count was 27, including Hunter and the two guys that showed up with him.

AustinWolv

Best turnout since.....what? Spring?

I'm surprised so many showed considering the heat. Good times, although move-to-contact is a touch routine. ;)

Has anyone ever tried any three team scenarios? Would that make any difference?

AustinWolv
08-21-2006, 06:04 PM
I cannot recall anyone setting one up. A bit of variation here and there could not hurt too much to try. With the amount of people that showed yesterday, some of the scenarios posted in the Scenario forum/guidebook might have been possible.

Crawling along the rock wall near the well, I noticed an "ammo crate" with ropes attached under the bushes. Maybe that can be used for a transport scenario?

Hmm. . . that must've been left over from a previous Op. . .

Village, remember where that was as it needs to go back up to the shack. :)

Indeed, it was good times gentlemen. Sucks that I ran out of water near the end of the 2nd game and had to call it quits but thus far I've had nothing but good things to say about the games and the airsoft community in general here in Texas. This was only the 2nd game I've ever played with you folks but I am very impressed with everything that I've seen and experienced thus far.

Necroticism, so you are the one that left me high and dry. AW came up and shot me as I tried to advance on him. Dang It.
