i recently purchased a Molle vest, but i don't know how to attach the CamelBak ThermoBak 3L to it. I havent seen any references on how its attached using the D rings. The top D rings on the shoulder of the vest can probably attach to the top D rings of the CamelBak using webbing, but is there a way to attach the other 4 CamelBak D rinkgs to the Molle vest, if it is even needed. My intent is to not use the shoulder straps if i dont have to. any ideas or suggestions?

Do the MOLLE loops on the back of your vest extend down the entire length? It's not really pretty, but lashing it down with green paracord is probably your easiest option. Or, you could sew on some webbing to mimic a MOLLE-enabled pouch. I have a Tactical Taylor X-Harness and its MOLLE surface extends only two loops down the back. This connection point with a loose webbing loop around the cumberbund waist strap is sufficient to secure my MOLLE hydro bag.

Yes the Molle loops extend all the way down the back. The harness resembles a plate carrier, but its not. It looks like my only option is to tie a chord from Molle loops to CamelBak D rings, not pretty at all, and will mess up the loops.

Might try the Maxpedition Grimloc Locking Rings.

I have some that you could take a look at.

550 cord, Grimlocs, other carabiners, spare webbing. Lots of ways we could probably figure out to rig it. Just need to see it.

Hope this helps...

I'm pretty sure we can come up with something. You've got several attachment points on the rig near your CB's D rings. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll have time to hook up with you before I leave, this week. I'll get in touch with you offline.
