Unless some weird bizarro freakish accident occurs, I'm there.

Likely will not be making it.

drew, I forgot that I would likely miss 3/19 skirmish, so you'll need to find a different rental. Sorry about the confusion.

I'm there! Also, what is the best camo for Hunters? At TXPB I'd say desert was better fitting with the light ground and brush. Going to buy better clothing this week. :)

I won't be there, and probably my fire team won't either. I'll be out of the country again...

Dirius, most camo patterns will 'work' for the places we play here in Texas. Get what you like and make sure they are durable most of all...

Depends what part you play lot of brown tall grass and lots of green shrubbery.

Was about to get a set of tiger camo, but figured why spend $100 on new camo when I can just keep using the good ol' woodland and save some money. :) Unless ya'll know where I can find some cheap tiger or ACU gear locally. Banana Bay doesn't have any good used stuff beyond woodland/desert.

Save yourself the money short-term for other items, such as additional mags or a backup battery for example.

Back to the specific skirmish topic now.....

If you're looking for BDU's at decent prices, try www.hdesert.com

FOG gets most of our camo there.

Weather report doesn't look good for tomorrow. 70% chance of rain and thunderstorms. Is there anything I should grab for playing in rain? Is Hunters muddy?

Hunters can be muddy for the cars. There's lots of grass so once you move away from the road you should be okay. Depending on the temperture, you may want to grab some kind of jacket or windbreaker. Being wet and cold is not conducive to good health.

Also, after playing in the rain, disassemble all your guns and let them dry out as soon as you get home, and then apply grease. Otherwise reddish brown spots will appear on your metal parts, which is not a good thing.

Y'all might want to note that attendance is usually severely lacking on days like tomorrow's forecast. The last two times for example:
1. Two people showed up (consistent showers all day)
2. 8 people showed up (didn't rain on this day once skirmishing started, and was actually a LOT of fun)

Rain just adds to the fun. :)

IMPORTANT

Our plans for the weekend were for me to unlock the gate at Hunter's. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the skirmish, afterall. Those of you interested should attempt to contact JAY on the forums and see if he can help you with the gate. Otherwise, there is no gurantee that the gate will be unlocked.

As an added bonus, I cannot monitor the forums and this thread, the rest of the day to help ya'll further. I have to leave town shortly.

"Doh!" Any news? I need to drop stuff off and pick stuff up. If no one's showing I can delay both of these till a later date.

I'll still plan on showing up...whether I'll pay or not is uncertain.

Yes, it does. Unfortunately, most people tend to not show up when it rains. :(

It sprinkled while we waited for everyone to show up and gear up. It did not rain after that. My car is sporting a new shade of mud paint though. :p

Yeah, the mud was fun on the way out, my car was slipping and sliding down the road (I admit, I did initially throw it into a slide, heh). Still have huge globs of mud in the wheel arches. Anyways, it was fun. I might just to go out and buy a GBB pistol, as my shotty is pretty outgunned in pistol rounds :P

It seems to happen that way. "Luck of the Austin-area airsoft weather", I suppose. It was raining pretty well when I drove by there around 11am.
