I should be there with a friend. Is anyone wearing ACU's or will i be the only one. It's not that it will be a problem, just wondering...

For the most part. :)
Most hang out in the parking lot after paying the $10 field fee at the front desk.

I'll see if I can make it.

I never gone to a weekly skirmish.

Is there a specific type of BDU we have to wear? I only have Desert Camo.

Wolv,

That's actually a descent question that I was talking with "BCDC" last weekend at Hunter's about. It might not be a bad idea for someone, unfortunately I'm not going to be there other wise I would, to provide some kind of black rope, camo rope, etc. (cheap nylon stuff) and tie it around the arms (all left or right) of all the opposing team members. Seems like a cheap and easy way to insure there is some way to identify opposing forces and decrease friendly fire...? Whaddya think?

I'm definitely planning on bringing something of the sort to Hunter's next time we're out and promote it. Unless the team is small and you know everyone, it's not always easy to distinguish friend from foe, especially when cut off from your team, etc.

The cheapest, easiest, most effective way to maintain unit solidarity is to practice:

1. Squad integrity. Know your squad. Know what they look like. Know where they are.

2. Know your enemy. The same aspects of point 1 apply.

3. Communicate effectively. Worried about a breach in your lines by the enemy? Set up a challenge / password and share it with your team. When someone approaches your position and you're unable to identify him/her, shout the challenge. If they don't respond with the appropriate password, you fire your AEG at him/her.

For example:
"Guys, our challenge password is 'thunder / flash'"
An unknown enemy approaches your position, so you challenge him:
"THUNDER!"
"BATMAN!"
[sound of an AEG cycling]

Paintball fields/players uses a colored arm band which is available at any paintball store. They come in red, yellow, blue, pink and other bright colors (not so.. Tactical). Black rope or camo rope won't do you good either since it will be hard to see (hehehe). Plus, I don't think snipers will love this idea...Just my opinion.

I plan on going. I just need a rental on a gun.
P.S I HATE DPS!!! They screw everyone over.

Great, So how do we know who is who while we're out there?? lol Look around before the skirmish starts. See who is and is not on your side. Stay in communication with your side, keeping mental note of squad movements and their body language on the field. Observing movement style, direction, and actions are just as important as staying in verbal contact.

Seems like a cheap and easy way to insure there is some way to identify opposing forces and decrease friendly fire...? Whaddya think? My honest thought? Disagree wholeheartedly. Know the target before pulling the trigger. IFF is as important as having a mag in the gun.
Due to people thinking instead of just shooting mindlessly, I cannot remember the last time I got friendly-fired.
Our local skirmishes do not have enough people in attendance with enough multiple objectives at one time to warrant the need for armbands and the like.

I'm definitely planning on bringing something of the sort to Hunter's next time we're out and promote it Feel free, and that is your right. Personally, I'll pass on such practices.

Oops, I just noticed that this is going to be at TXPB field. I thought it was Hunters. Most likely I won't be able to make it.

I was wondering if somebody could ever so graciously sell me a bag of bb's for this weekend's game. .2's preferably but i'll take .25's if that's all you have. While i am asking for things i was also wondering if somebody had those airsoft grenades for sale. The ones with baking soda and water (or whatever that white powder is). Thanks guys. :-)

www.airsoftworx.com for BBs, but you'll want to drop Agrovale a line to see if he can make it out to the field.

If not, I have AE .25g I can sell.

Good game guys. Only managed to get one kill, and that was in the pistol fights at the end. :P

Next week I'll get better gear (BBs, pants etc) and I'll get you guys a bit more, heh.

Forget kills! It's about having fun, teamwork and pushing yourself to learn to think under pressure. And also to become a gear whore, but that's only for the really cool guys like me! Hahahahaha!:hammer:

Surrendering people is fun because most of the time you sneek up on the person!!! I love doing that!

I played paintball once 4 years ago, came up behind some people in a little shed. I see the one guy through a little hole in the wall and yell surrender, then see three people walk out. Nice little bonus. :D
