Im getting CYMA XM8 and it takes a 9.6v 1200mAh. I was wondering if you could use another type of 9.6v battery? The cheap RC car ones. I have at least 10 of them.

The following came from http://www.onlybatterypacks.com/
Milliamp Hours (mAh) Applies to how much energy the battery can store the capacity of the battery. The higher the mAh, the longer the run-time in-between charges. One mAh is the equivalent to 1/1000 Amps. IE: 2.7 Ah = 2700 mAh

In other words the mAh doesn't change the size of batteries but, in order to reach certain mAh levels you will need bigger batteries.

Nader, you should be able to use any 9.6v battery pack. I believe the rc battery packs have less mah, so they will not last as long, but if you have a bunch of them, it shouldn't be a problem.

There is no difference between R/C battery cells and the ones that airsoft uses, namely in the subC cell size category. Just my opinion, but R/C racers need hotter and better cells than airsoft guns do, so that hobby will "drive" battery technology farther than airsoft will.
