All,
A while back, we had an idea of putting a video library of various Airsoft replicas up on the site. It consisted of a very short video of the user shooting the replica in semi and full-auto. Mainly, this was done to help people see what the function, sound, and ROF was of various AEGs, gas guns, etc. in different configs/upgrade/battery options. All the videos would then be uploaded to the Download section, as there are a lot of replicas out there that people haven't seen fire before and are curious about.

The effort wasn't quite finished, so we'd like to start it back up anew.
Therefore, if you have a replica that you would like to help contribute to the site, please bring it out to the next two Hunter's skirmishes. AEGs, GBBs, NBBs, gas guns, even springers, M203s, misc other replicas.....those would all be great.

I imagine it would helpful for people to list if they want to bring something, so we don't have 10 guys showing up with M4s. If you see someone with a similar replica/setup to yours, please avoid duplication.

This effort is not meant to take away from skirmish time. :)

Do you want "unadjusted/mutant" AEG's or just plain jane ones? I'm not sure exactly what you are getting at, but I *think* I may have an idea.......if we shoot a TM M4 with an 8.4v battery for example, there is no need to shoot another video of a TM M4 that has a scope and is using an 8.4v battery. However, if someone has a standard upgraded AK using an 8.4v battery while someone else has an upgraded AK with a 12v battery, I think it would be worthwhile to have those in the library so people could see/hear the difference.

Thus, using examples from above, Obsidian already listed an AK Beita. Since I *think* your Beita is about the same as his for battery and upgrades, there would be no need to shoot them both.

10/2:
Thanks to those who participated in this activity today and to Obsidian for coming out to the field to be the cameraman despite not getting to play. The community helping to add content to the site to share with everyone is great to see.

Sorry about it taking longer than intended, and we'll try to cycle through faster next time. Obsidian graciously offered to get these up on the site very soon. If you have a replica you'd like to add to the site library, please bring it out on 10/16.

If you had a gun filmed and want to note that specific replica's specs (upgrades, battery), please send the info to me in a PM.

Tomorrow at Hunter's (10/16) is another chance to help out the site. Bring out your replicas to be captured on film for the video library. Also, maybe we all can see Dark Paladin figure out how to use his M203. :p

Let's try to do this at the end of the day, so we don't impact skirmish time.

I will be bringing a bunch of pistols and the gas to fill them this time.

Plus my XM8 and the L96.

I will dig around and see what else I can drag out.
I will also bring the Galil since it got cut off.

In my defense, the M203 shell was missing a bearing, so I blame that for the anti-climatic showing.

Weather was excellent. Had some good action on the day as well, as Bluefor moved hard in the first skirmish to push opfor. The second skirmish was different......Bluefor got spread out all over the place, and groups were working independently across the field which got difficult to coordinate. One group was lost near the ridge, and another group was engaged for quite some time near the well, but couldn't quite jump the gap over to SanFran. The third skirmish went very fast, as all of Bluefor nearly ran the whole time getting a fast jump on collecting the pilots and setting up a corridor to move through. The fourth skirmish was basically a suicide run with little leeway for variance. The fifth skirmish was just a shoot-em-up since the two sides started nearly in sight of each other with Bluefor eventually caving one flank, which forced opfor's hand.

The fourth skirmish was basically a suicide run with little leeway for variance. By the way, I wanted to note that this skirmish was basically not thought out very well. If I had to guess, it was proposed to force action, but nobody in their right mind assaults a defended position with lesser numbers in a dictated timeframe. Standard military doctrine as I understand it is that a hasty assault like that calls for 3:1 ratio in advantage of the assaulters to give solid basis of success. Thus, to make it enjoyable for both sides, a 2:1 ratio seems fair.

Not a big deal, but something to take into account when trying to think up games on the spot.

I suppose that is more of an AAR comment than related to this thread though.
