I've got a reserve on one when they come out. All Im wandering is if I can play my old XBox games on the new one.

Yes, with a number of games, but not all of them as I understand it.

Based on what I read, last week, a hard drive would be required for backwards compatability.

I've been waiting for this, for a long time. I just recently brought out my xbox for the start of NCAA 2006. I use Notre Dame, and I am tearing it up. My running back has already broken the most rushing yards in a single game record at 406 yards in a single game. He is on fire. No I do not play with any cheats.

NCAA 2006. Anytime you want. I got some slider sets that will actually make the game challenging if you want them.
