Where is the best place, in your opinion, the get a head set for something like a motorola two-way radio? What type of head set do you recomend i.e. throat mic, ear piece, over the head?

I think it depends on your style of play and how much money you're willing to spend.

I got a Motorola PTT ear piece for my Motorola T4900 at Fry's for about $10. It works pretty well, although I still need to figure out a good wiring path for it so it doesn't bounce around so much when I'm trouncing through the woods.

My quick take:
-Avoid earbuds unless you get high-end custom ones fit for your ear.....earbuds make your ears sore over the length of a skirmish day
-Throat mics are !337 and all, but aren't all that worth the trouble. Can be annoying to people listening to you.
-Coiled ear tubes are great....if the earbud fits properly. If you are going through really thick brush, they can get pulled out.
-Over the ear can make your ear sore too....depending on how your goggle strap potentially presses on it.
-Over the head is generally good.

Good product that will hold up better than stuff from Walmart is the Otto Breeze. A bit more pricey at around $75-80 though.
