View Full Version : Prometheus Hop-up
Anyone use the Prometheus hop-up bucking? It apparently comes in either 'soft-type' and 'hard-type'.
I wonder if these work well with their tightbore barrels?

Hopup bucking is a hopup bucking. I think for full-auto AEGs, though, you'll want the soft type. I have yet to be disappointed with a Prometheus product. But I don't speak for everyone :)

The hard-type is for guns that are shooting greater than 400fps/.2g if I understand it correctly. For up to 400fps/.2g, the soft-type is fine.
And no, not all hopup buckings are created equal. Just ask Classic Army or G&G. ;)
Wolv,
Does your post mean to stay away from CA and G&G hop-ups? Or stay away from the Prometheus hop-up?

Stay away from CA and G&G buckings currently. Perhaps they will be better in the future.

Would a Systema Hop up bucking with brass collar fit a Prometheus Barrel?
Yes, as long as its an AEG inner barrel...
UPDATE:
The Prometheus tightbore and hop-up work great! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to have tighter groups.
Again, thanks to Marimba for talking me thru the installation on the phone!
