I'm looking for any ideas on a good vest that has mag pouches that would hold G36 magazines..I searched a little and couldn't find any old answers to this.

Thanks,

Other then that most m16 type pouches will fit at least one g36 mag in them.

It also depends on if you're going to keep the side lugs on them or not (I've heard people cut them off). The Blackhawk Crossdraw vest I use catches the lugs almost every time and would not be a good idea.

I purchased a digital camo chest rig from cheaperthandirt.com for $20.00 that holds 2 G36 mags clamped together in each pocket. There are 3 pockets on the front of it so you could carry 6 G36 mags at a time. The pockets will also hold 3 M16 mags. There are a couple of different colors available. G36 mags do fit into the Blackhawk Omega vest pockets one at a time but, as Chrisvalla said, they are a bear to pull them out in a hurry because the elastic retaining strap gets caught on the posts on the G36 mags. I personally have never used more than two G36 hicap mags in a game. To save a little cash you could just clamp 2 mags together and leave them in the rifle.

Marimba is right; I have read of people using triple-M16 mag pouches to hold two clamped G36 mags. Depending on the pouch, inner dividers sometimes need to be cut out.

Wrangler, depending on what your looking for as far as camo, the Flectarn site posted above sells the basic german webbing harness and mag pouches. Shoulder Harness, Webbing Belt, G36 Double Magazine Pouches x2. Or maybe the SAAV Operations vest. This coming from a guy who spent $90 on a pair of pants ;) becasue of my 'must have' attitude.

Depending on your price range there are many options you could choose. Marimbas' idea sounds like the best choice overall.
