Battery Problem

I'm having a bit of a problem with my Nun chuck style battery type that I got around 5 months ago. Here is the problem.

I run a peak charge at 3.0V for 45 minutes before every use. And use a discharger after every use....never missed one discharge.

But for some reason, my battery is holding the charge for maybe 3 Hi-cap magazines. Then it dies out on me. Here are my battery specs:

Mini type
1700mAh Nicad
Nun chuck style

I am using the battery on a Tokyo Marui M4A1

Any help is more than welcome.

3.0V.... or 3A?
if your charging it at 3V then thats may be your isue.

What charger are you using?

I assume you meant 3A, not 3V, for the charge rate.

Cell could have died on you, either from being overcharged at some point, just a cell defect, or a low-quality cell. If you take it to a Batteries Plus, they can run a diagnostic on it.

A good pack should last a lot longer than 5 months.

If you are running a peak charge, that tells us you have a peak charger, which should tell you when it is fully charged. Thus, you don't need to time it, unless you are monitoring closely some charge parameters, which I doubt since that kind of performance isn't needed in Airsoft and requires higher-end chargers.
