Ohhh, I hope not either, I don't think that it should be a problem from what I've heard the general forecast should be... Though you never know.
EDIT: my information was wrong, so ignore the weather comment.

Don't think I'm going to make this one. Sorry Mercs. If things with my truck change I'll try and show up but right now things are doubtful.

I'm going if I can get a rental gun. Sounds like Agrovale won't be coming, so if I'm short of a gun would any of you guys be willing to loan a gun for the game? I'll give you $15 to. Pretttty please.
Please remember to go to the first post in this thread, click on the link and register yourself as attending the event on the calendar. It makes it easier to see who is or isn't going at a glance without reading through all of the posts in this thread, in my opinion.
The admins have been trying to move over to this system, and I think we should try to use the new features that they are implementing in the improved site.
Not going to make this one.
God I hope the weather holds up...it's not looking good right now.
I just want to come and spec now that I have Sundays off...I haven't been able to so far due to the damn rain! :(

I'll be out there sooner or later, so I'm planing on it.

Joy. Flash flood and flood watches are in effect for most of our areas... what's the general consensus in Austin? Go or no go today?
11-21-2004, 10:02 AM
Last weather update I found was 40% chance of rain for Austin and 80% for San Antonio.

It is going to be an absolute mudpit out there, so lots of vehicles would have to stay outside the gate or risk having to have a 4x4 pull them out. That, combined with expected low attendance, means that we are a no-go for today. Sorry guys, but 50% thunderstorms by 2-3pm means that we will get dumped on. And personally, I don't feel like showing up for something like a total of 5 people. :)

Still going here. If too few show up, dinner plans become lunch plans this time around. :)
Ah screw it, I'm with Laphta. If not enough people show, lunch.
Hmm. I would still like to go spec, yet I'm unsure how many people are going to show. I live really far from the field (Pflugerville) so I don't want to drive all the way out there to be disappointed. Anyone else going?
11-21-2004, 12:30 PM
I live farther than you, and I'm still rolling down there. Of course, I have to exchange some things with people so I have another reason to go. ;)
Wouldn't hurt to go just to introduce yourself and check out some of the gear, etc.
Thought you said you weren't going! :)
Well it seems my friend (and my ride) isn't getting up. He fell asleep on the phone when I was trying to call him. :(
Anyone knows what happened today....
I didn't go...it kept raining on and off here, so I decided it wouldn't be worth it.

Alright, well shoot me, as about 15 ended up showing in total. Some were there to just make transactions, but ended up sticking around once a decent amount of people showed up. :)
We didn't get started until well after 1pm, and the total groupl only skirmished for one longish game.....almost 90mins. 3 teams were basically split into 5 people each, as ODG, FOG, and WC each had a small contingent present. We then split up, each starting at a waypoint, with the objective for each to move to Objective New York and hold it. Small numbers and very cautious movement due to the rain resulted in a rather slow, more stealthy type of skirmish, which personally I had a lot of fun with. Perfect weather for being quiet......if you could see.
Rain came down pretty decent during that time, so a number of people had difficulty seeing. After that, the majority left, but a few stayed on to skirmish longer.
As always, skirmishing in the rain is a lot of fun, but damn it sucks when your goggles are covered in rain drops.....need mini-wipers on 'em. ;)
Roger that...Well, atleast you guys were able to play. As for me, I will have to wait another week to skirmish with you guys again. I hope next week we will be blessed with a better weather...Thanks Wolv.
See you all next Sunday.

It was fun, the first game didn't go so well for me as my radio went down and then I lost track of my teammates (they split off in all directions.)
It was fun doing the hunt the 2 man team (although this was after most of the people left, so some people might not remember this)
I take it next Sundays game is at TXPball? By God, I'm going to go this time if it doesn't FREAKIN' rain!
ap0gee might have his mp5 by then, as well. Would any team be willing to let a couple of complete noobs play alongside them for the day? :)
