View Full Version : hop up and ejection port

i got a used gun (m16 a2) and sometimes when i put in a new mag the hop up turns off completly and also the ejection port will not close most of the time. I have tried pushing the cocking slide all the way forward. The only time i can get it to close is when i disconnect the top and bottom recievers. Can anyone help?
The hop-up problem sounds really weird. I can't really see how that would happen unless the screw on the gear is ALL THE WAY loose. I would definately check that and also to see if the hop bucking got repositioned or something? As for the ejection port... on my griends A2 it does that sometimes. There isn't anything wrong with it. Just apply a little more pressure or kinda jiggle it while applying pressure.

hey, tried to tighten that screw on the hop up and it was already tightend.

Take out the screw and put a dab of red or blue loctite on it. That will keep the adjuster from spinning on it's own. Oh, and the cocking lever is really called a charging handle.
