If anyone has watched the second showing of Band of Brothers, the one with the night drop over normandy, you will recognize this mission. 3-4 guns were positioned to where they were firing on the U.S. troops landing on the beach. The objective here is to eliminate these guns. There will be 2 teams, the Krauts and the Easy Company Paratroopers. The Krauts will need to position themselves within the parameter of the gun area, and at least 3-4 people on the Kraut team must man a gun position at all times. The ECP must try to capture the guns within the allotted time (15 minutes?). Also, as with the real thing, at one of the guns, tactical information must can be found to give a quick victory to Easy if they get those plans back to a designated zone.
Summary:
- Krauts stay in the defensive parameters of the gun area
- 3-4 people must man each gun at all times, or it is captured by the allies
- Hide the plans somewhere along with 1 gun position
- Easy Company Troopers must take the guns or find the vital intelligence and bring it back to the designated area
Wolv and Bear, you might want to get out your trench sweepers (Thompson SMGs) for this one. Here's one re-enactment you won't be able to miss if it goes without a hitch :).
