If you add a silencer on the end, or if you purchase a longer outer barrel/longer flash hider.

Do you have any pictures of somebody that has done this? Does anybody know someone that has done this or info on this sort of thing for the AK?

I am purchasing one in the next week. I will take good pictures once I get it. But, it will look something like this: (without silencer, and with a dragunov flash hider) http://i8.ebayimg.com/02/i/01/83/ec/09_1_sb.JPG .

Holy crap thats long. Are you sure thats a 21 in. barrel in that picture that looks like its 30 in. or something. My friend has a 21 in in his M-16a2 and layed next to my 18 in ak (body and barrel) its not that much longer. By the way skitelluride are you still interested in buying my AK?

Thrawn, that is more than a 21 inch barrel. I was just showing you an example of the longer outer barrel. As to whether or not I am interested your Ak, right now, I am still not sure. When I know if I will or not, I will PM you.

Why don't you do the math yourself?

Ak47 + Long Tightbore barrel + Whatever internal upgrades + Silencer of your choice/Outer barrel/Flash hider + shipping.

Don't forget that you need to match the cylinder to the barrel length. If you're trying to put an M16 length barrel on an AK you will need to get a type 0 cylinder.

I still say G3 barrel is the perfect length.....anything over that is a waste.
