View Full Version : PLEASE HELP Barrel of Sig 552, PLEASE HELP!!
03-17-2004, 02:56 PM
I have owned a Sig 552 SEALS for 4 months now. It being my second gun, I thought that any maintenance it needed, I would be able to handle. Last week I was adjusting my hop up and suddenly my BBs started going about 1/4 as far as normal. Freaked out, I opened my gun up immediately looking for the problem, I couldn't find it. Today, I decided to look again, I went deeper into my gun this time though. I found that the black rubber sealing that fits around the barrel right at the hopup was torn, allowing air to escape, thus pushing less air towards the BB. Can someone please tell me where I can buy a new one? Or, should I go ahead and just buy a new "precision" barrel and, if so, which brand?
Thanks to anyone who gives a suggestion

Agrovale has a couple of systema hopup buckings for sale....I am not sure if they are on Airsoftworx yet. In anycase that is what you need.

I also have an extra classic army hop bucking if Obsidian or Agrovale can't get one for you.

What I meant was do you recommend getting a "precision" barrel or just putting the old one back in with a new bucking? Do the precision barrels actually make a difference?

If you have money for a tightbore barrel, than I don't see why you shouldn't get one.

But do they actually do anything?

Tighter groupings at those long ranges. So yes, they are worth it.
