Upgrading Spring

How do I remove the spring from the piston? I can't tell how they are attached.

One quick question. When you upgraded your spring, did you cut a small hole to reveal the screw that hold the spring to the piston? Or did you use plyers to remove the head of the piston?

I used an Xacto knife to make a hole to reveal the screw. I personally wouldn't use pliers. Once you loosen the screw just a touch, you can pretty much just twist the head off with your hands.

I hate that article.... There is a much easier way to do it. Get a rag and unscrew the piston head. It is simply screwed on to a metal threaded part in the middle. I use a paper towel and grab and twist. Comes right off without having to cut the hell out of a perfectly good piston head.

Thanks! That got it off. I was surprised to see that you don't need to attach the "New" spring to the metal piece.
