Does anyone have any experience with these? They are a rather cheap throat mic. ASR got a couple to test out and are supposed to have a a review up soon. Waiting to see the verdict as this would a nice alternative.

I had one, though it did not work well for me due to my trunk-like neck.

I just purchased a FireFox throat mic (which replaced my Motorola ear/head-set without PTT). I am generally happy with it (perhaps just because of the PTT?); I would recommend paying the extra $5 for the earpiece attachment(can do for left or right ear). I know that both are available from www.opsgear.com.
However, depending upon your size, the throat mic may be too small. Like Bear, I have a pretty thick neck, which causes the throat mic to slip off every now and again. Because it's new, I haven't given thought to correcting this design flaw. If I come up with something easy and cheap, I'll post it here.
