Are you showing up?
What kind of scenarios would you like to play?

Well, I know I said I would be there at Hunter's on Sunday (or at least I said I would try to), but I'll be at a SuperBowl party almost all day. Hopefully, after practice on Saturday --this Saturday-- I'll be able to head to the army surplus store and buy some BDUs and new boots (my old ones are dead) and I'll be ready for next Sunday.

Again, that'll be my first time playing, but based on my paintball playing at TXPB, I'd love to see some airsoft on the larger fields (Crater, Trenches, etc.) with whatever normal rules apply to airsoft.

But yes, I will be there!

Hope to see ya'll there. Just look for the nub. =]

Yep, I should be there.

How about a scenario where both forces, equal in size, are trying to control a single objective? "Controlling" means you have planted a flag or what have you at that objective. Skirmish runs for 45 minutes with unlimited respawns. The force that controls the objective at the end claims victory. Each respective force's respawn point is of equal distance from the objective.

Perhaps another VIP mission, where the hunter team needs to kill the VIP and the escort team needs to keep him safe, with no extraction available. Time limit of 60 minutes, and the VIP can be moved anywhere within the determined boundaries (can hide, can run, etc.). However, hunter team is given slightly more respawns -or- is given a slightly larger force.

The gun's in pieces, so I don't think I'll be out this weekend. Only the 3rd game since May I've missed!

My trip to Houston is cancelled. I'll be there, more than likely.

I'll most likely be there, but who's going to play the VIP? Crap.... (I just reminded them of my being the pilot, and I think they had a fun time shooting at me last time too, for those of you that don't know). Oh, how about this scenario.

One team has to stay at the objective for a number of minutes, defending it from all of the attackers (who get unlimited respawns). The point of this game is, after the guys have been there a few minutes, they have to began doing a E&E (Escape and Evasion, SEAL Style!), and reach the objective while enemies chase them and shoot at their backs, but hopefully they will be ready for the challenge of turning around, shooting back, and then the people they were covering returns the favor. This is not an impossible scenario, as long as we don't allow the tangos to get on the flanks of the SEAL Team untill the E&E occurs.
*Background: Operation Urgent Fury, the U.S. lead invasion of Grenada. Rebels are broadcasting propaganda through the use of a radio station. The SEALs mission was to infiltrate and possibly keep the radio station alive for U.S. propaganda purposes. The SEALs infiltrated, took out 2 guards with hand to hand combat, and secured the radio station. Several minutes afterwards, enemy troops and APC's began advancing on them. They decided to destroy the radio equipment and do a E&E to the coast (Which was 1 mile away). Surrounded on 3 sides (front, left, and right flanks) the SEALs did a leap frog that whole mile, shooting at the enemy's constantly, and successfully made it to the water and all (to my knowledge) lived. The funny thing was, most of these (if not, all) had never worked with each other before, so what they learned in BUD/s was what they new, and they pulled it off, perfectly.*

Any more scenarios that need to be ran? Oh, how about (if the paintballers aren't using the fields as much) we get a huge field to field across the road battle (within the bunkers, dunes, rocks). It would be cool to do more of a bigger MtC (Move to Contact) than usual, if there's enough people.

I'm there. Weather should be great. Both Wolv's and Splat's ideas sound interesting. Tomorrow just let us know what/when we need to do 'em.

SPLAT, ease off the constant SEAL stuff. We aren't SEALS and you aren't a SEAL, so just relax a bit as we are just participating in a hobby. Anybody who watched the show on Discovery, History, or maybe it was TLC could have recapped that story, so kudos on the scenario idea, but chill with the SEAL-lusting.

Wolv's idea sounds great. Splat, where the hell did you get all that from.

I know all these are credible, I've done research and the official U.S. military even has pages on them. I love the History Channel, but the Discovery Channel hasn't had stuff on it in a while :(. Well, Wolv, I understand your point, and I mostly agree. I will stop typing out all that info, but would it be possible to submit a link to it? After all, this is a "realism" hobby.

[Quick EDIT]:
SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs even talked about it in the SEAL movie, while showing a real Navy SEAL leap frog video in the Desert.

SPLAT, you can link pretty much anything you want, except porn and other topics not suitable for certain ages. Military links are welcome and appreciated. Just quit bombarding us with your hard-on about SEALS. ;)

I had a killer time. The SG/1 is a very fine weapon. Until FOG decided that the way to start their game is to focus 100% of their fire on you position. :D

Definately an awsome day of airsoft. Lots and lots of movement. Gotta love movement. I think the best part of the day was taking you out at the red car, splat.

Heh, kurt. Your fun to shoot :0

Nice day lots of excitement had me jumping and scurrying nonstop. Bests sweat Iíve worked up playing so far. My best part of the day was stalking down the fence to stir up some F.O.G. until Clark blasted my elbow from a few feet away with out me even seeing him until I was out. Very nice Clark and also to who ever hit me in that last game one round right in the neck from around 50-60 yards away in the very beginning of the game, very nice shot!:D
