I will be there with a few friends. I'll have my new SR25 also!!

01-06-2004, 10:23 PM
As long as there is like 20+ people, me and my friend are coming. He doesnt want to drive all the way from Pflugerville for some 3 vs 3 match. But im sure there is gonna be plenty of people, judging from the posts.

"AK-47's like so rule" (there is a good quote)
By Me

01-06-2004, 10:37 PM
We just dont want to drive all the way from Pflugerville LOL! Like that is very far. Weak excuse.

01-06-2004, 10:44 PM
dude, im not the one driving. I would drive from canada for every weekly game if it was up to me. I like love airsoft, but my friend is the one with the car, keep in mind im only 15 :)

01-06-2004, 11:14 PM
Try all the way from Lago Vista, that's like twice as far.

01-06-2004, 11:16 PM
yeah, hell, if i wasnt fat and got sun burned in 3 min outside, i'd try to walk to hunters, im telling you its my friend, he is 19 so he is the one with the car, and he is lazy like you couldnt believe.

01-06-2004, 11:58 PM
All the way from Canada eh? That would cost like 200 bucks.

I will most likely be attending this game.

01-07-2004, 12:29 AM
Me and my Beita babe are sure to be there. Might have a friend out too.:D

California King
01-11-2004, 04:16 AM

P.S. oh ya. i'll be there. :-)

01-11-2004, 11:00 PM
Grrr, it seems I won't be able to make it afterall.

01-12-2004, 09:10 AM
I will be showing up early this day.
I'll be stacking haybales and tires near the shack.
I could use as much help as possible.
If you want to show up at 11, that would be great.
Bring work gloves.

01-12-2004, 08:21 PM
Always happy to help, will do if I can.:D

01-12-2004, 10:16 PM
theres no age crap with skirmishes right? and uh, i checked all the past posts of this and it didn't say any adress, so where is it?

01-12-2004, 10:26 PM
The age limit is mature and responsible. If you meet both of those come on out.

01-12-2004, 10:26 PM

No problem. Welcome to the community.

Back on topic:

Let's try to get as many people out as possible and have a great day.

01-13-2004, 12:24 PM
I'll be there early - with bells on, but I'm going to take those bells off before we start playing.

01-13-2004, 12:24 PM
I'll probably be there. Think I'll use the Beta too.

01-13-2004, 12:47 PM
Since a supposedly decent amount of people are going to show, perhaps we should set up some skirmish scenarios beforehand so we have an idea of what to do, instead of wasting time at the field?

For example:
1. Opfor must locate object. Bluefor must locate same object. Opfor must secure object and relocate it to another point. Bluefor must secure object and defend it within 50 yards of original location (in other words, it can be moved in a 50 yard radius) for 20 minutes. Opfor -or- Bluefor must announce on radio that they have found/secured the object. Medic rules are in effect -> medic cards will be needed. If Opfor is moving object, Bluefor is to intercept and secure object. Where they do so becomes the new point where they must defend the object (with 50-yard movement radius allowed).

2. Utilizing "new" shack area: Bomb is located in shack area. Opfor must keep Bluefor from reaching it. Bomb will detonate in 30 minutes. Bluefor must reach bomb to "disarm". Upgraded weapons not allowed in shack area. Only stock weapons on semi-auto and pistols allowed. Upgraded weapons are allowed to shoot into shack area from a minimum distance of 60 feet. Each player receives 3 lives. Bluefor player must retreat to insertion point (TBD) to respawn. Opfor player respawns by touching the bomb. (I haven't seen the shack area, so don't know if this would even work)

3. Bluefor must reach an objective point for extraction in 45 minutes. Opfor does not know which point it is, but does know general location. Bluefor has to have 100% of living players at extaction point for win criteria. Opfor must eliminate all Bluefor or prevent extraction for win criteria. Medic rules apply.

Merely examples, we obviously can skirmish however the community desires. :)

Since I'll be out there early, I'm going to try to set up the felt flags to do the Scenario: Southwest Hunt.

Wolv, your #2 is doable. There should be enuff "bunkers" there to make a defensive position. We would have to allow the defending team to infiltrate the woodlands around that area a bit, though. As for the suggestion that we only use stock weapons, the bunkers are not so close-knit or tall that this should be a concern. Playing this scenario single-fire might be a whole lot of fun, though.

01-13-2004, 02:25 PM
I'll have to trust your judgement regarding #2 since I haven't seen the area.

Jay, would you mind taking the lead on organizing the scenarios for this weekend? Having one person be the focal point would help get things done instead of everyone throwing around ideas and nobody stepping up to the plate. If not, I could.

01-13-2004, 03:24 PM
I'll be there, but I'll be late due to a shoot I'm attending earlier in the day. I'll probably around 2:30pm or so.

Aye. i'm sure Brittain will have a bucket and some index cards as well.

Remmeber, players, let's try to get there as early as possible.

01-13-2004, 04:32 PM
Aye. i'm sure Brittain will have a bucket and some index cards as well. Medic cards = good. Random mission cards = not so good, as we've found in the past. Big white bucket = umm, well, to be polite, it was an appreciated gesture to put forth the effort to procure and bring the bucket. ;)

01-14-2004, 03:31 PM
Man, that field id going to be soppy...

01-14-2004, 11:12 PM
Yeah, in a big way. And we'll see if it actually isn't raining.......I'll be there.......bring your 4X4s............

01-17-2004, 02:05 PM
Weather looks phenomenal.
The airsoft gods blessed us all last year and the year before. It seems that no matter what happened during the week, Sunday's weather was always good for airsofting fun. Once again, it looks good.

01-17-2004, 04:00 PM
Praise to the airsoft gods its beautiful outside ;)!

01-17-2004, 05:22 PM
Yee ha life is good outside!

01-17-2004, 10:36 PM
Erm, isn't going to be 50% chance of storms and a high of 50 degrees on Sunday?

Nomatter, I am still going :)

01-17-2004, 10:56 PM
Might rain a little but that sure as hell isn't stopping me. :)

01-18-2004, 06:05 AM
Dido, Same here baby! (Need my fix):D

01-18-2004, 10:55 AM
I reccomend less chit chat on future weekly skirmish threads..

01-18-2004, 11:37 AM
10:35... leaving for field

01-18-2004, 11:41 AM
On my way now too.

01-18-2004, 11:58 AM

01-18-2004, 12:04 PM
I recommend we get our arses out there right now.:)

01-18-2004, 08:30 PM
It was a well-attended skirmish today. Kudos to those that could make it.

Thanks to the SA-types that made the drive up, and the weather held out pretty well for us.

Thanks to the people who planned the couple long skirmishes today, and also to those people who gave a little Airsoft safety/rules refresher in between skirmishes.

I would say overall it was fun as usual, and people got to engage in plenty of action.

01-18-2004, 09:57 PM
I had a good time. Thanks for having us.

aka: Annoying Sniper

Once again, disappointment goes unrepresented at Hunter's Airsoft. We all enjoyed ourselves and are very appreciative of the invitation and opportunity for some good hard skirmishing.

A special note of appreciation is due to Jay and any/all those who helped him organize and set up today's activities. Both skirmishes were very well organized and communicated. KUDOS! We look forward to the next opportunity!

01-19-2004, 12:30 PM
Fun day of airsoft, thanks to all the participants. Very enjoyable, competitive play.

For those who'd like to review the various rules mentioned during yesterday's midday briefing, you'll find them on this site (either in the forums or FAQs, just do a search).

See ya'll next week.

01-19-2004, 09:56 PM
What a fun day or airsoft!! That was the first time i've played in a while and i almost forgot how fun it is.

I had a fun time playing with and meeting some of the San Antonio guys, as well as some unaffiliated players that were my age.

I agree with Speer too, the events did run smoothly and there was no real "get bored" time, it was nonstop action and it went smoothly.

Look foward to doing it again!

01-19-2004, 11:29 PM
Ton Of Fun!

01-20-2004, 04:18 AM
Same here, a grate day of nonstop fun and excitement! We should do some thing like this every few months.:D

01-20-2004, 09:37 AM
To support our fellow players to the south, perhaps we should travel down there sometime. That is assuming they have available land to support 30+, which I believe they do, correct?

01-20-2004, 06:42 PM
I’d be down for that any day! As it is it’s on my to do list also people could carpool there.

01-20-2004, 07:16 PM
Cool - You might want to PM Cecil or Gabe in reference to land support. I think that would be a great idea to get you guys out here.

01-21-2004, 09:08 AM

 Excellent idea! 30 plus players from Austin? One way or another, we will be able to accomodate this. Give us a few days and we'll see which field we can work out that will be most accomodating for your travels.

We'll keep you posted!

01-21-2004, 09:26 AM
30 plus players from Austin? That, I did not state. I inquired about property to accomodate 30+ players, which in my intent was to count SA and Austin players in that number as I cannot speak for which Austin players would be able to attend.

Just trying to spur the masses, as I don't think Austin players have ventured down that way, except for perhaps a couple times.

01-21-2004, 09:38 AM
Understood, thanks for the clarification. I'll see what we can work out.

01-21-2004, 11:37 AM
In the long, long ago... in the before-time, 4-6 of us went to Houston twice a month, at least. Now that we've got local airsoft on tap, whenever we want, we've gotten lazy.

Personally, I think we could probably get around 15% of the local airsoft players to go. The ones without other commitments, who have their own transportation, etc. Still, it's more than worth doing, and it's overdue. Count me in.

01-21-2004, 01:40 PM
Katana “Still, it's more than worth doing, and it's overdue.”

It would be great if we could get a carpool or a convoy going like them San Antonio folks. Then we could get a regular thing happening.;)
