View Full Version : Icom F21GM Radio Pouch

I'm looking for suggestions on a radio pouch for an Icom F21GM.
Dims are 2 1 /8(W) × 5 1/32(H) × 1 15/32(D) in.
Right now I am using an HSGI Small Radio pouch, and its a bit too big.
What are you guys using for your Icoms?
I'm looking for a pouch that:
Provides a snug fit, but still allows room for a mic plug
Fully encases the radio for protection

I use the same pouch for my IC-F4GT, so I can't make any other recommendations. I usually have a spare battery pack in the pouch, which fills some of the extra room and reduces motion. Of the pouches I've seen it really is the best fit for the smaller form factor ICOMs.
Have you thought about having something custom made? Someone on DIYTac might be willing to put something together for you. There are a few members of the LSA community who do custom work, but their availability is limited.

John Willis of OSOE was supposed to make me one, but he got sidetracked with his move to TN, and all that it entailed. I even lent him my Icom so he could mock something up.
The Emdom Strob pouch looks like it may fit, but I dunno.
I'll check out DIY Tactical and see.
If any of the local stitch wizards are interested, hit me up!

I think a strobe pouch will come up shy, for you. It's just slightly shorter than the dimensions you specified for your radio (radio is 5 1/3" and the pouch is 5 1/2"). And because the front flap of that particular pouch slants over the top to close, I'm inclined to think it won't clear your radio and knobs. I believe I have a strobe unit at home, if I can locate it I'll compare its size to my GS and GT and let you know if they're close.
Send a private message to Village, on these forums. He's our best gear maker. He has, unfortunately, put airsoft and kit manufacture on the back burner in favor of other interests. He pokes his head back in, from time to time, and completes a few runs for us, so you might get lucky. Crown has more recently started working with cordura and may be willing to help as well.
I used this http://shops.godaddy.com/MJ-S-911-Store/BlackHawk-Radio-Pouch-hook-loop/ for my ICOM F4S and worked great. You should be able to pick what size will fit your specific radio from the first link.

I may be able to help with this if you already have a specific or custom design in mind. Hit me up.

Thanks for the responses guys!
Right now, I'm gonna wait until I here back from John and see if he has anything mocked up from the last we spoke about it.
